The State of Our Broadband Must Be Stronger

Late last week, CDN leader Akamai released its quarterly "State of the Internet" report. And, the conclusion for the U.S. is not great. We rank only 9th in the world in terms of robust residential "high broadband connectivity" (defined as connections of 5 Mbps or above). And, the U.S. ranks a paltry 39th in the world (out of a total of 200 countries and regions) in broadband connections of 2 Mbps or higher.
