Netflix -- Poster Child for Explosive Growth of Premium Online Video

Netflix yesterday announced its quarterly earnings -- and most interesting to me was the company's explosive growth in usage of its online premium video offerings and services.

A whopping 48% of all Netflix subscribers watched at least 15 minutes of streamed TV or movie content in Q4 2009 -- whereas that number was only 28% one year earlier.

Think about that. If ever there was a stat that underscored the explosive growth of -- and demand for -- premium online video content, this would be it!

And, think about the implications to content developers and owners ...
