Why? Because Twitter is a great way to tell the world where anyone is at precisely that moment in time -- especially celebrities. Someone sees Ashton Kutcher in a bar? They can tweet that, and not only the paparazzi has an instant catch, so do potential stalkers. Ba-da-boom, the power of knowledge. And, the potential for abuse -- what I call, "Twitter Terror."
What triggered this Twitter Terror for Ashton Kutcher were reports that Twitter itself -- the company -- had partnered with TV producers to develop a reality show that would "put ordinary people on the trail of celebrities in a revolutionary competitive format."
While Kutcher certainly is a media hound, his concerns are justifiable and real. Nothing like Twitter officially sanctioning the transformation of ordinary people into paparazzi ... or worse.
