Movie Database IMDb -- "(I) (M)ust (D)eclare (b)old!"

You've gotta love passion in the business world.  You need it to succeed.  You gotta love audacity.  In a word, you gotta love companies that aim extremely high ... in a word, "bold."

Well, the world's #1 movie database -- IMDb ("(I)nternet (M)ovie (D)ata(b)ase") -- has that in spades.  At the annual South by Southwest (SXSW) conference in Austin, Texas, founder Col Needham announced his ambition to add one-click on demand streaming of every movie title it indexes (that's 1.3 million at this point).

No small feat, of course.  But, IMDb -- which has been around for a long time -- is now an Amazon company.  And, that power and those existing deep relationships with the studios certainly do not hurt in this vision quest.
