Warner Music's Videos & Music Down the Tubes (Pulled from YouTube, That Is ...)

The Grinch has pulled Xmas away from YouTube and Warner Music's once-melodic relationship.

After Warner Music and YouTube failed to renegotiate their licensing deal, the music company began removing all of its content from the video sharing site this past weekend. Warner Music -- like the other major record labels -- previously had negotiated its licensing terms with YouTube just prior to the company's acquisition by Google. And, the music company's share of ad revenues generated via its content on the site apparently does cause Warner Music to sing from the mountaintops -- its revenue shares with YouTube are reported to be less than those of AOL and MySpace, among others.
