Coming Soon -- the GPhone?

Google is everywhere ... but will Google now try to dominate the mobile communications world as well? Speculation is rampant that the GPhone may be the iPhone of 2008 ...

Just Days After Disconnecting "Connect," Sony Set to Re-Enter the Digital Download Game

Just a few days ago, Sony finally confirmed what had long been speculated -- that it would be throwing in the towel on its disappointing "Connect" online music store.

But, hold on -- just when you thought Sony was exiting the digital download world and conceding defeat to Apple's iTunes, Sony plans to get back in the game in a big way -- but this time with video rather than music.

According to today's Wall Street Journal, and in a strategic move orchestrated by Chief Executive Howard Stringer himself, Sony plans to give users of its PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable games, as well as its Bravia hi-def customers, the power to download television shows and movies. And, hi-def may be the key for Sony as it takes on Apple.
