Apple recently turned the mobile world upside down overnight with its iPhone announcement. Front and center for Apple's combined cell phone/media player is its touch screen -- not a button in sight. Not to be outdone, LG Electronics just revealed its own touch screen cell phone that appears to look and function much like the iPhone -- it is labeled the "Prada Phone", a model that was developed with Italian fashion designer Prada. Both, of course, seek the high end market (the Prada Phone has a higher initial price point of about $775, as compared to the lower end iPhone's starting price of $499.
Expect touch screens to increasingly be front and center in additional cell phones and other CE devices in 2007 as others seek to emulate the Apple "buzz."
